Why Warehouses Have Unique Communication Demands
Most operations arrive at radios after trying something cheaper — a handful of consumer walkie-talkies, or phones and a group text. Both fail in the same three places: a picker between two loaded racks, a receiver at a dock door during a delivery, and anyone trying to hear a transmission next to a running conveyor. A loaded pallet rack is a grid of vertical steel holding metal-banded product, and it both absorbs and reflects UHF signal.
