The TLK-25 operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks, supporting 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac standards. It's compatible with WPA2 (personal and enterprise) and WPA3 (personal) security protocols, and can store up to five SSIDs—so it connects seamlessly to your existing enterprise or personal network.

WAVE PTX is Motorola Solutions' carrier-independent push-to-talk subscription service. It connects your team at the push of a button across different networks and devices—eliminating the barriers of location, device type, and network. The TLK-25 also interoperates with MOTOTRBO™ radios, other TLK devices, and the WAVE PTX mobile app, giving your team unmatched flexibility.

The TLK-25 uses an AI-powered Intuitive Voice Assistant in place of a screen. Press the voice assistant button on the device or the included earpiece to place calls, manage communications, check battery status, adjust volume, enable Bluetooth, and more—all hands-free. It's designed so your team can use it fully without ever needing to look at a screen.

The Voice Assistant currently supports English and Spanish (MX). It's also built to recognize various accents and speaking styles, making it accessible across diverse teams. Additional language support is planned for future updates.

No—and that's by design. To keep communications discreet, the TLK-25 does not have external speakers or microphones. Instead, it works with the included earpiece, any 3.5mm wired accessory, or a Bluetooth 5.0-compatible headset with a microphone. This makes it ideal for environments where discreet communication is a priority.

All device setup, configuration, and management is handled through the WAVE PTX Administration Portal, accessible from any PC, smartphone, or tablet. Once your subscription is active, you'll receive an email with setup instructions. For larger operations, the TLK-25 is also compatible with WAVE PTX Dispatch, which allows dispatchers to manage day-to-day operations from any internet-enabled location.

The TLK-25 includes a dedicated emergency button that instantly alerts management and other radio users when pressed and held.

For teams with lone workers or high-risk roles, the optional WAVE PTX Safeguard subscription ($12/radio/month) unlocks advanced safety features including:

The TLK-25 delivers up to 12 hours of battery life based on a 5:5:90 duty cycle. The battery is embedded (non-removable) and charges via USB-C or the optional TLK-25 Multi-Unit Charger (MUC)—a convenient option for teams with multiple devices.

The TLK-25 supports up to 96 channels and 300 direct contacts, giving your team plenty of room to organize communications by department, floor, or function.

The TLK-25 is priced at $240.00 per unit and comes with a 2-year warranty.

The device's battery is embedded, so no additional battery purchase is required.
