The Best Walkie Talkies for Skiing
The best two-way radio for skiing will vary from person to person depending on the type of winter sports that the individual most enjoys. As a rule, we recommend Motorola long-range two-way radios such as the compact and lightweight Motorola CLS1110, the 2-watt, 4-channel RMU2040 and the 8-channel VHF RMV2080. Motorola radios are known for their durability and ability to keep people in contact when they are separated by great distances. Many of their radios were developed with military conditions in mind, which means that they can certainly hold up to anything you can throw at them. Because they are two-way radios of a professional grade, those who buy them always get plentiful use out of them. We recommend VHF radios if most of your communication will be done outside.
